I had an appointment to get a Ct scan done at Hmg Diagnostic center at meadowview received a call 3 days prior and was told that my copay would be $277.00 and i made the payment. Upon arriving I was told that I had to pay almost twice the first payment more. The woman was rude and did not want to hear me tell her that I had already made a payment of $277.00 and was told that was all that i owed. She said that was not correct and could see where i had made the payment. After paying them $550 more that day I finally got the ct scan that I was coming for.

Since back in 2021 I've requested an sign language interpreter and they refused to hire an in person interpreter as their office policy only use Video Relay Interpreter. I've tried to explained I have rights to requested in person interpreter that VRI is not clear reading understanding especially watching hands sign plus problems video froze, disconnected, misuderstanding the video relay interpreter. And again its their office policy. They have no rights against me as discrimination. Ive complaint twice to VP of HMG and they finally got the in person interpreter. But as I got there they've complained, being rude, insulted, and disrespected me, my husband (it's against Amercan with Disabilities Act Law having family not certified interpreter) and my sign language interpreter. I warned others I would not go back there as they never learned.

I’m not one to typically leave a review as I work in the medical field myself and understand a lot of things. BUT- what I don’t understand is choosing a profession where you help/assess people and then act like it’s an inconvenience when you have to do just that. I am 24 years old and my OBGYN found a mass in one of my breast and referred me here for an ultrasound. Scheduling was simple, the front desk was very pleasant, and the wait time was not bad at all! I had my fiancé come with me as is it normal to be somewhat nervous given the situation. I was called back by and ultrasound tech, Marie, and I asked if it was okay that my fiancé came back with me to which I got an annoyed look and a “I don’t care, it doesn’t matter either way.” Once in the exam room, she asked when/where I found the lump to which I responded “My OBGYN found it in the chest area” (which was not very clear of me I understand) I had tied my gown (unsure of if I was supposed to or not as the instructions were very quickly given to me) I laid on the exam stretcher and she began to lift my gown to find it was tied. She was seemingly aggravated as she untied it and moved the gown out of the way of the area. She then began the ultrasound and was very thorough, and I, of course, feel confident in her assessment! Since she had asked me before hand where the lump was, I pointed with my finger and let her know that “my OBGYN had felt something in this area as well.” To which I received another aggravated response “She said the left side so that’s why I’m checking over here.” My fiancé and I were just very taken back by her bedside manner. Men and women come here daily to find out if they have a serious diagnosis. They’re already nervous, possibly upset, and I don’t think being treated such a way is very helpful to them. Maybe she was having a bad day but like I said, I work in the medical field and understand getting frustrated but I have never made a patient feel unwelcome or like an inconvenience.

The place is very nice and relaxing. If I’m having anything done, I would love to have it done here, BUT their scheduling is TERRIBLE. They always mess up appointments, don’t tell you when they reschedule you, just call you the day of the appointment or wait for you to show up and say you were never on the schedule, even they you have texts from them confirming the appointment. They always say it’s something with insurance, but even if that is the case, they need to communicate better. People have to take off work for these things. The front desk staff and scheduling staff really need to work on their customer service skills too. Talk to you very rude and like you’re beneath them. It’s a very frustrating place.

Wow! Don't know how else to describe! Twice now in the past 2 yrs I have been sent to HMGODC for tests and they have scheduled a test and NEVER let me know time/date. Then send me a stupid letter after the fact saying I "missed" my appointment!! Well, I am not a mind reader! Letters stating they've tried to call me and not gotten an answer...a blatant lie! Cell phones keep a log of incoming/outgoing calls...their number is never there when they claim they called!! This last time, I was told they "left a message"....FIRST: Leaving a message does NOT signify a "contact"! SECOND: Another lie as my Voice mail was full, had been full for over several weeks and again, no incoming number = no voice mail!! And even if they had, proper business protocol when making contacts with clients/patients dictates TALKING to the client/patient! If you do not TALK directly with the client/patient...you have NOT made a contact! Nonetheless, cell phone logs do not lie! Even as a restricted number, it will show on the phones time-line log! I give 3 stars only because the staff is relatively pleasant when I've gone in and have never had to wait too long to be called back.
