Truly the rudest customer service I’ve ever received. I feel bad for the other employees who have to work with these people.

The office ladies are terrible. Seriously they suck & should absolutely NOT be in a position so serious. They treat there JOBS like it's some miserable ladies book club. Don't answer calls, don't relay messages, there scheduling is horrendous, customer service is dreadful & giant ego and attitude problems. The doctors or the one I had is pretty meh & dismissive. Worst office I've been too hands down not even close

My Dad was referred to this place by another physician so far. This is only 2nd app. and service is horrible! I was on the phone trying to call the office and was on hold for more than 2 hours. THIS IS unacceptable!!!!!!! And know one did even bother to answer, I was so mad beacuse I just had a question about my Dad health. I was driving to the office for the test being on the phone for more than 2hrs got to the office my phone was still on hold and guess what see all the ladies sitting in the main office smiling, talking doing nothing, now I know why they are so busy to not be able to answer my call. This has to be changed for a heart clinic to have a phone service like that. We had the same issue calling the first time to schedule the app.

Good luck if you need to speak to anyone who knows anything, or leave a message, or request a call back. HORRENDOUSLY difficult to communicate with this office...you have no choice but to go thru their main call center & leave a message. And they supposedly have no email!! That's what I've been told. Really???In this day & age??? I find THAT hard to believe. And no internal quick messaging like DuPage Medical has had for YEARS. So, if you need a quick reply regarding a health issue, hospital stay or medication problems, you'll be in trouble. I can't even count the number of times that messages weren't returned or all screwed up. Sick of their inept, outdated system.. Am taking my Mom elsewhere. Too bad. As the docs are quite pleasant. No good, tho, if you cannot get ahold of them when you need them most. After all, it IS a cardiology office, so when needed, it's probably pretty important! Would NEVER recommend them.

Needed an EKG and heart monitor patch. When I called the Hinsdale office to schedule this I was informed that the Hinsdale location did not have an open EKG appointment until July 6th, and did not have a heart monitor patch available, but I could go to Woodridge Friday June 11th to get one. I asked if I could get both at Woodridge and was informed they didn't do EKGs at that location. So I asked for the earliest EKG (July 6th) and ALSO to schedule the heart monitor patch for 6/11. The woman said "But you just told me July 6th." I responded "YES, for the EKG. And I'd like to get the heart monitor patch on 6/11. You told me I couldn't do both at the same location." She cut me off and informed me that I could get an EKG at Hinsdale on the 11th and the heart monitor patch at Woodridge the same day. I decided not to point out that this is NOT what she had originally told me. I scheduled my EKG and heart monitor for the same day, but the EKG at Hinsdale and heart monitor at Woodridge. When I went to Hinsdale for my EKG, upon check in the receptionist stated "So you're doing the EKG here and the heart monitor at Woodridge?" I explained that I was told that I could not do both at Hinsdale. The receptionist stated "Huh, weird." This is not my only negative experience with non-medical staff at Amita Health. I am NOT happy with how I have been treated. Work on your customer service, Amita health. EDIT: 9/3/21 My PCP referred me to a cardiologist to follow up on the results of my heart monitor patch. I once again ended up talking to the same ignorant woman I spoke to at the end of May. I explained that I was referred to a specific cardiologist (whose name escapes me at the moment) by my PCP, and the woman told me that if I don't have a pacemaker I can't see that doctor, as he is one of two that only sees patients with a pacemaker, and that "we have 20 other cardiologists to choose from." I explained that I didn't know that, I am just trying to follow through on the referral I was given. I was then told "I can put you through to his nurse and you can try to schedule with the nurse." I agreed, and unfortunately had to leave a message, which was never returned. I ended up scheduling with a cardiologist through Loyola Health System. They were much more polite, kind, and informative in assisting me in obtaining an appointment than AMITA Health. I am convinced my PCP and her office out of Clarendon Hills is the only bright spot in AMITA Health's otherwise shady system.
