Don’t come here. I had to wait over an hour past my scheduled appointment time. The ultrasound tech who saw me was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and made me feel comfortable. I wish I could remember her name because she is the only reason this review isn’t one star. She explained she was filling in from the hospital because the inhouse tech had walked out midshift, which is why things were running behind. While I was in the waiting room, I witnessed another patient at checkout upset because her documents had never been sent to her doctor after a previous visit, which forced her to come back. That immediately concerned me, so when I finished my appointment, I double checked that they had my correct primary care physician and fax number. I was told my results would be sent within two business days. Three weeks later, my doctor still hadn’t received anything. I tried calling this office for three days straight with no answer. I finally had to use a different menu option just to reach someone. This delay has now impacted my treatment plan which is extremely frustrating. The technician I saw was excellent, but the front office communication and follow up was not great. Update: they still haven’t sent my scans to my doctor and it’s been extremely difficult to get ahold of them.

Alan the MRI tech is wonderful. He was informative but soothing and nailed the IV on the first try (I hate needles). No bad experiences (yet) with billing etc.

Avoid this provider! They are dishonest about insurance pre-approvals, and unwilling to make price adjustments once that dishonesty is uncovered. My doctor called in an order for an MRI. which Chicago Northside MRI Center claimed was pre-approved when it was not, as they are out of network with my insurance provider. I only discovered this when I got a huge bill from Chicago Northside MRI and called my insurance company to find out how this happened. That's when I learned that Chicago Northside MRI had indeed called my insurance company -found out they were out of network - then called me back to tell me I had been pre-approved by that very same insurance company! When all this came to light the billing manager refused to adjust the bill, saying I had gotten the MRI so I had to pay, and that it was my responsibility to know Chicago MRI was out of network with my insurance provider; not their responsibility to tell me. The worst part is the dishonesty involved. Chicago MRI falsely told me I was pre-approved by my insurance company for an expensive test I couldn't have possibly been pre-approved for. given the circumstances. This is group to avoid at all costs. They'll lie to you about your insurance coverage just to get you in the door so they can give you an expensive test, then chase you down for a bill you wouldn't have had to pay if they hadn't lied to get your business in the first place.

On the day of appointment were 30 minutes late. They also promise 2 business days for MRI results, well not for me! It took multiple days to get my results, they were NOT READY OR SENT to my provider in time for my appointment which I was not notified about this delay. It pushed back my treatment by 1 month. Totally unprofessional.

Images were good and it was easy to get an appointment, but the MRI tech made some comments that made me really uncomfortable. For example, I said I have to be really careful climbing off of the MRI table because I have bad hips and he said "they look pretty good to me" under his breath. There was weirder stuff than that, but it's not really appropriate to share in a Google review. I get pretty chatty when I'm nervous and I was getting an MRI for something scary, so I guess he took my anxious chattiness for flirtation or something? I don't know. I have to get annual imaging, and I was going to just go elsewhere next time and forget about this place, but I realized I should probably give other women a heads up. So... be careful about being friendly if you aren't interested in being hit on while you're get your brain tumor (or whatever) imaged. I'm a happily married, middle aged woman, and I really didn't think I'd have to worry about this kind of thing anymore. Since this happened, I just avoid talking to male medical personnel more than is strictly necessary so I won't have to deal with this awkward crap again
