I had a great experience at Baptist when I had back surgery recently. Staff was very helpful. Everyone was knowledgeable. No extended wait times. At my preop I found an iPhone in the bathroom. Staff was so helpful when I turned it into the information desk. Great overall experience. Would recommend..

My son came in and was triaged with his oxygen at 88. He has a long history of asthma. The treatment was horrible from the start. Breathing treatments weren’t helping him and 3 hours later (as I’m staring at my sons oxygen at 87 still) the doctor tries to discharge us and says, and I quote, “Do you want to go home or go to Houston? A lot of people don’t like to go to Houston.” As if going home was even an option? When I looked at him crazy and said uhm I would like to go to Houston to get my son treated his response was “okay, we’ll start him on oxygen.” The respiratory therapist then came in and attempted to start oxygen on my 3 year old who ripped it out of his nose. The respiratory therapist slung the cannula mad that it was ripped out, threw the pillow off the bed, stormed out and started slamming things. Next thing I know, he comes in to restrain my son with a blanket mad as can be with two other people to help hold him down. I couldn’t believe the way he just treated my 3 year old as he seemed to be a kind man when giving his breathing treatments. We were the transferred to tx children’s-woodlands where we stayed for about 36 hours after going through their ER and being admitted into a room a few hours later. How are you going to attempt to discharge a 3 year old whose oxygen is below 90? We have been there probably 10 times in the past 2 1/2 years due to my sons asthma and have been transferred out to 4 different hospital to be admitted. For the most part we’ve had good experiences but after this last time, we will be finding a new hospital for emergencies.

I was very pleased with the care given by the nurses in the 2 nd floor med surg. They took extremely good care of me and were very attentive and very knowledgeable in their field. We especially appreciated the superior care given by one of my nurses by the name of Stephanie. She is an asset to your hospital and should be acknowledged for her outstanding work.

From the minute we arrived until my was released everyone was so kind and understanding. All the teams took such good care of my daughter before, during, and after her surgery. They kept us informed on how everything was going and what exactly was going to be done for my daughter. I appreciate Dr. Rollins and his team for taking care of my daughter.

I came into this hospital night ago. Didn’t know what to expect but as soon as I walked in, everyone was very nice. Emergency room was great. Took me up to the fourth floor and all the staff was very nice. They treated me like a VIP. I only have good stuff to say about staff that took care of me while I was there. God bless their hearts and keep doing what you do.
